Welcome!

The 6th grade band is the beginning band at Smithton Middle School.  All students start by learning to assemble their instrument and maintain it.  The students then quickly progress through two method books.  Students are placed in daily, small,  like-instrument classes, and are required to attend after school full band rehearsals once a week.  In order for students to progress to the 7th grade band, they must have a passing grade in band during their 6th grade year.  Please contact Mrs. Bridgett Randolph at brandolp@columbia.k12.mo.us if you have any questions.
